Maurice started playing acoustic guitar when he was 10 years old. Then at the age of 40 he began learning to play the pedal steel guitar thanks to fellow steel player, Ray Hadaway. Maurice has played with several great country bands over the years. With his great knowledge of classic country and modern country music Maurice is a great asset to the Southern Roots sound.
Maurice and his wife Terri have 3 daughters; Lindi, Lani and Jill.
